Day two of the Certus User Partner Workshop is well under way. The key challenge when planning research activities in an SFI is to identify and address research challenges that are of importance for the User Partners. In order to ensure that the challenges are coming the from industry the User Partners of the Centre has come up with a list of research and development challenges. These points have been discussed in depth in technical meetings between Simula researchers, User Partner engineers and management. Below are two photos of Tao Yue (Simula) and Layth Alattar (FMC Technologies) giving a joint presentation about suggested research priorities for 2014. Certus is built on the concept of mutual understanding through discussions and interaction between researchers and industrial practitioners.
