TITAN attracts funding from RCN

The mission of the Certus Centre is to conduct industry-relevant research. This implies developing research results further, into deliverables more readily available for industrial application and exploitation. In close interaction with Cisco user partner, Marius Liaaen and his QA team, Certus researchers have developed a prototype software tool TITAN for test suite optimisation, leveraging strong research results based on constraint programming. The tool was pilot-tested in Cisco operating environment and proved high exploitation potential.

TITAN technology has now received funding from the Research Council of Norway to further develop this novel technology. In a two-year project, the project team will perform further technological and start the business development. The project will initiate IPR protection, and in constant interaction with its national and international partners through pilot projects, decide on the optimal strategy for preparing the technology for commercialisation. The project will be lead by Dusica Marijan who works as a Research Scientist at Simula. The funding has been granted through the FORNY2020 programme, which aims at creating value and benefits for society from research results. The programme funds proof-of-concept studies, for results from projects conducted at publicly-funded research institutions, and helps to bring the technologies closer to the market.
