Strong Certus presence at ICSE 2014

In June 2014, Certus researchers participated to the most important annual venue in Software Engineering: the International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE), organised in Hyderabad, India from June 1th to June 7th (http://2014.icse-conferences.org/). Arnaud Gotlieb, leader of Certus SFI, co-chaired the program of the SEIP track of ICSE and chaired a goldfish bowl panel on the importance of data mining in data-intensive systems. Leon Moonen, Senior Researcher at Simula and leader of Project 9, co-chaired the ICSE co-located event: International Conference on Program Comprehension (http://icpc2014.usask.ca/). Sagar Sen, Research Scientist at Simula, presented a paper entitled “Certus – Glimpses of a Centre for Research-based Innovation in Software Verification&Validation” at SERIP, a satelite workshop of the ICSE. During the conference, Magne Jorgensen, Chief Research Scientist at Simula, was awarded the prestigious ACM SIGSOFT Impact Paper Award for his co-authored paper entitled “Evidence-Based Software Engineering” presented at ICSE 2004.
