Tao Yue and Shaukat Ali of Simula Research Laboratory are honoured to have been nominated as management committee members representing Norway on ICT COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) action IC1404: Multi-Paradigm Modelling for Cyber-Physical Systems (MPM4CPs).
To date there is neither unifying theory, systematic design methods, nor techniques and tools for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). Individual engineering disciplines offer only partial solutions. Multi-paradign Modelling (MPM) proposes to model every part and aspect of a system explicitly, at the most appropriate level of abstraction, using the most appropriate modelling formalism. The MPM4CPS action aims to promote the sharing of foundations, techniques, and tools to academia and industry. By bringing together and disseminating knowledge and experiments on CPS and MPM solutions across disciplines this goal can be achieved.
